Homophobic protest

Would you believe this? Fred Phelps, the rabid anti-gay pastor of Westboro Baptist Church in Kansas is picketing Coretta Scott King's funeral because of her support of gay rights. I'm linking here to their flyer about the event but be warned: the sheer hatred of it will take your breath away. Here's part of what it says:

WBC has warned Mrs. King for more than 10 years that by endorsing the homosexual agenda she was bringing down the wrath of God upon herself, her family and the black civil rights movement. She is an ingrate -- unthankful and unholy.

And that's the least virulent part. Go read the rest of it - if you have the stomach for it.
