Today's pessimism

The CNN website has a Quick Vote poll every day - sometimes more than once a day. On the International Edition today was this question: "Do you think the future will be better or worse than today?"

Here are the results:

Better: 34%
Worse: 66%

I must admit I voted for "worse" as well. How sad that so many people are looking to the future with so little hope.

And how much power lies in how we perceive the future. Why can we not claim our power and imagine a better future! It will be how we think it to be.

  2. "Thinking" isn't going to fix global warming or the way the Bush administration is decimating our freedoms, undermining the social safety net and planning to attack Iran using nuclear weapons. Only action will do that.
